I haven't spoken to my mother in well over 20 years. My dad's ashes are currently in a box in my garage. EMDR helped the screaming in my head stop. Calmly holding to healthy boundaries put me in a better place and my darling husband is helping me get better every day. It made me strong..... but I didn't need to be strong, I needed to be safe. I'm safe now. Keep fighting. You deserve wonderful things. You deserve love without prices and you deserve to not have to be so damned perfect. It's so freaken awesome on this side.
