Have you ever had your parents just slowly fade out your life the more successful you get?

Post Body

I have noticed the more I see success, the less I hear from them. It feels like a relationship had been built on them putting me down.

It's not like I have actively tried to push them out of my life even though they have been self centered, but the more I do well the less they want to talk to me. I don't brag, but I don't really have problems figuring myself out and they never tell me that I should take a low level job in my field (Think engineer becoming mechanic low suggestions) because I have became successful and well off for myself. Feels like since they can't attempt to bring me down, they won't even bother.

But yeah, anyone else ever had something like this happen?
