I joined a local support group for victims are narcissistic abuse and it’s the best thing I’ve done for myself

Post Body

Title really says it all. I was worried at first bc it seemed like a lot of the people there had exes as the narcissist in their life. But when I shared about my mom EVERYONE understood. Some had similar experiences with Nparents, but they all understood me. We talked about the scapegoat vs the only child, how Narc parents tend to try and pit siblings against each other etc.

I seriously felt like one meeting like this was way more helpful than 3 months of therapy. I’d highly recommend trying a support group for any/all of you.
