How to deal with nMom financial abuse

Post Body

Hey y'all, my friend told me last night that she just got $2000 back in just STATE taxes because she put a kid on her taxes and it just brought back the fact that my mom barely helped at all for my college education but was getting THOUSANDS for those 4 years to take care of me when I WAS TAKING CARE OF MYSELF. My mom contributed no more than $1000 total if even that much to my college education (and only because after I tried to kill myself the first time I didn't have enough money come back for the fall semester so she put $600 and change on her credit card and acted like as usual I'm the biggest burden in the world smfh). This makes me angry cause I currently have over $30,000 in student loans from undergrad, that def could've been less if my nMom were actually taking care of me like she's supposed to. I know I should just let it go, but I paid for my food, my college, my clothes, and my necessities but she gets thousands just because she's my parent and can claim me on her taxes?? That isn't fair and another huge problem with the financial system in America

And just an FYI I don't need any sympathetic comments about how I'm entitled or no one should be taking care of me in college because guess what, your opinion DOESN'T MATTER HERE especially when you DON'T HAVE ALL THE FACTS. So I will say this politely once, FUCK OFF this post AND this group if are sympathetic with these parents that abuse their children in more ways than one.
