My nmom never really bothered to spend time with me much(despite her not having a job ever) so she barely knows any of my interests. She's always angry that I don't really talk to her much and the reason is she only likes to gossip about dad's relatives or talk about my university classes or about tv shows. Whenever we somehow get into a sensitive topic like politics or lgbt stuff she gets angry and her crazy Christian and racist self comes out and tells me I'm siding with Satan or that I'm young and stupid.

Christmas is coming and as in every other year her reply is "We don't know what to get you" so I get pjs or shower gel. This year she wants to buy me a new rug wow.

I'm just so jealous on my friends whose parents put so much effort in buying them something they really need or that they're interested in.

I really just wish my mom took the time to get close to me emotionally and not try to turn me into a genius kid who only talks to her about her As and fears her beating whenever I fail at school.
