I've been avoiding my sister for the majority of my current pregnancy. Mainly because my previous pregnancy she spent the entire time telling me "You can do anything. Women have been giving birth for the entire existence of humanity." I was on bed rest. Along with stealing medicine (not narcotics she's just a hypochondriac) which she caught strep throat from me from the inhaler she stole. This pregnancy happened shortly after her friends miscarriage. Which has turned into me being told to hide mine to spare the girls feelings because I quote "Her pregnancy was ACTUALLY wanted." The times I am anywhere near her she is incredibly rude. She tries to pretend that she's a medical professional (I'm in school for healthcare) so she will try and correct me on things she has no clue on. She will call me stupid, tell me I am grounded, and try and force me to go stand outside in pouring rain as a punishment. She says things that are INCREDIBLY rude. Then when I say something she is immediately defended by my mother who claims they are just "jokes" not to mention she has attempted to use my birth as an excuse to take off. My previous birth she took off one day. When my mother left for work, she finally woke up and immediately left. I hadn't showered in 2 days and desperately needed to take pain medication. Not to mention was having an emotional breakdown. So I nicely told her "No thank you my SO and my father will be here to help me out." Which caused a load of drama about how I'm ungrateful for their help or that my SO and father are incapable of helping me. When my mother was telling me about how my sister was taking off she said my sister was telling everyone how "I couldn't walk." etc. Which I calmly told her was bullshit because she wasn't even home. She also shares any of my health problems from my leaky nipples to any sort of infections I have (I have a bad immune system so I get a lot). So then people who I don't really know are telling me to put cabbage in my bra or any of the other things people say. Not to mention the friend who miscarried will not stop glaring at me anytime she sees me. I was yelled at for not inviting her to my shower.
