Post Body

1) Is it possible that gaslighting and narcissistic behaviours can be done out of love?

2) Why do parents behave as such?

3) Does anyone feel obligated to support your N-parent(s) after moving out due to guilt or moral obligations?

I'm asking because I personally struggle with these questions and would like some perspectives. For me, my mother is pretty much the typical N-parent throughout my entire life, but she has given me a huge down payment towards an apartment so that I could move out (like 80k). I despise living at home but now I feel obligated to support her financially as she approaches the age of retirement. Maybe this is another guilt tactic? So how would you react to these conditions?
