This happened about 10 years ago when I was in high school. It was early and I was getting ready for school, but had asked Nmom if I could stay home. It was that time of the month and I was having really really bad cramps.
Nmom knocks, then tries to walk in but can't because the door is locked. I didn't care if it made her mad anymore, I was tired of being walked in on. She says she has some medicine for me.
I hold out my hand and she drops a Tums in my palm. A Tums. I have menstra cramps, not heartburn. I look at it then back at her and tell her that this won't help me. Plus it's mint flavor, which is only going to make my nausea worse. We argue back and forth for a minute before I give in and pop it in my mouth, then close the door.
I spit it into a tissue then toss it in my trash can. Then I start thinking. And getting stressed. I always think of the worse thing that can happen in any situation and I didn't realize I did this until my husband got annoyed with it and talked to me about it. I'm ok now, but at the time I was thinking "what if she finds in in the trash and makes me eat it?" So I grab the tissue out the trash and put it in my dresser.
A few minutes later my mom comes back and asks me if I took it. I tell her yes. She stares at me and I laugh, because I can't help but laugh when I get nervous, an d she says she doesn't believe me. Then she starts going through my trashcan, pulling apart tissue and ranting about how she tries so hard to help me and I don't appreciate it blah blah blah.
I just sit there not saying anything and looking at her like she's stupid. It felt good because she hates that and I knew she wasn't going to find it. She gets mad and demands that I empty my pockets. She storms out. I grab the tissue out the dresser and bring it to school with me to throw away. It's not safe there because she's going to find it when she goes through my stuff while I'm out.
It's just really effed up, that I would even think that she would try to make me eat out the trash, and the fact that she Actually. Did. Do. That!
