Post Body

Growing up, sister and I were adopted. For some reason we got money each month from government and a little from birth father. Nmum used most of money for sister to lock her away and religious reprogram her, so we no longer have that. Mine, however, hasn't been used.

Anyways, growing up, younger and older brother got special vacations for them, such as ski trips to Colorado for older brother, younger brother got hunting trips, and sister and I got shipped to grandmas down the road "cause it's special."

In any case, I ask for a thousand dollars of my money to take boyfriend on a vacation. He only has one day off a week, he hasn't had a true vacation in years, and while he supports me while I look for a job, I feel bad I can't do more.

The reply "Well, you're a brat and selfish for talking to me that way, apologize to me, or I throw your computer and other things away that I still have. It might be your money, but I can give it all to me, and make it so you never see it. I don't want you talking to me in that disrespectful tone."

I was tempted to say "you earn respect, you don't just get it for being an awful parent." But saying that would have screwed me over. Right now, not sure what to do, cause I desperately need a job, but I just want to surprise bf and make him happy for a week, cause seeing him so worn down and exhausted makes me feel like shit.
