This Dr. Ramani quote just blew my mind. I was wondering why so many "nice" narcissists think they are so nice when in reality they are garbage.

The performative empathy is what they spun like ball of lies to themselves about themselves. Lot of them sincerely believe they are amazing people, and the mindfuckery of that is just wild.

Unfortunately, this is my mother to a T. She believes her profession (nurse) makes her a hero, and her small charitable contributions make her a saint. And that is the end of the story, as far as she's concerned.
