Post Body

As a teenager, I’ve already had many discussions with my Nparents about why I dislike Caribbean resort vacations (I’ve never been on one, and I don’t intend to ever go on one). I cited that I am not OK with how exploitative the resorts are, how the staff is underpaid and overworked and is often forced to live away from their families for months at a time. I am also opposed to the terrible environmental impact of those places and am very opposed to how tourists who stay in those resorts are often treated much better than the local population. To me the whole thing is unethical and terrible and I want nothing to do with it. I’ve told my Nparents this multiple times explicitly, and I figured they’ve gotten the message.

I went NC over 6 years ago. 1.5 years into NC however, I get an email from my Nparents saying that they miss me a lot (LOL) and that they are planning to go on a vacation at a resort in Cuba and wanted to ask if I wanted to come so they could book stuff for me. I was flabbergasted. Not only did they break NC when I explicitly asked them to never contact me again, but they asked me if I wanted to take a type of vacation I EXPLICITLY TOLD THEM I HATED AND HAD ZERO INTEREST IN???????

I didn’t respond to them & blocked them.
