"Manchild:" I hit puberty early and had an early growth spurt (capped out at 5'6" lol) and my dad decided on my new nickname. He'd ask host(esses) if I should order off the kid's menu or not because I'm a "manchild." Told him multiple times I didn't like it
"Let's go on a diet together:" my dad tried every miracle diet under the sun and dragged me with him because I was/am a chubby guy. I've done Atkins (back in the late 90s when I was like 10 years old), Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, the 48-hour Hollywood diet, and more with him. We're both still chubby/fat
"Lift up your shirt and let me see your stomach:" This one still gives me the ick. Idk why but he always wanted to see the stretch marks on my stomach when we would go clothes shopping or even at home
"Oh you can definitely fit into my swim trunks, here:" My dad loved to remind me how big/heavy I was for my age and wanted me to wear his clothes
"Get your 210 pound foot off of me:" I stepped on his foot once at the beach when I was like 16, on accident He would make up arbitrary numbers for my weight that he new were more than I actually weighed
"I'll remember that:" This was a catchphrase for him. Anytime we got in an argument or I was critical of him, he'd let me know that he will always remember it in the future
"Fuck you, motherfucker:" This was after the single time I suggested my dad might be lazy. He turned into a different person and screamed at me. Up until that point he had never cursed at me.
"I'm just too tired to cook with you:" My teens were mostly spent alone with my little brother. My parents were divorced and my dad was useless. I begged him for real food, to teach me to cook, to cook with him. He said no and just left cash on the island every night for me and my brother to go get Chinese/fast food.
