Post Body

Anybody else had Nparents accuse them of being fucked up, being broken and being abnormal because they felt unloved and uncared for by their Nparents?

My Nparents made me feel profoundly unloved and uncared for. And when I tried to tell my parents this, they would be like “of course we love you! and if you can’t feel that we love you, that’s your problem and your fault. There’s something wrong with you for not being able to feel that we love you, something is broken and fucked up in your brain.” It never occurred for them to ask themselves “oh shit my child feels unloved and uncared for. what did we do to make her feel like this and how can we make her feel loved and cared for?” Which is how NORMAL PEOPLE WOULD REACT in that situation. It was automatically blaming me and saying it’s my fault. Nothing is ever their fault. They have zero introspection or self awareness and think they’re perfect and flawless.
