Stoner NMom Disrespects Pronouns
Post Body

Hi. So for context, I'm 22FTM and I came out last November. I came out to my NMom in December and she was very supportive over the phone and through text. I saw her for the first time since I started my transition and went on T (I moved to a major city about 70 miles away and can only visit once a month) and the first visit went well. Here's where I get to my question and the heaps of context required for it.

NMom is a massive stoner, she has a medical card and uses dabs for her chronic back pain (which is real and unfortunately genetic). Her and I often used to smoke together and have productive conversations after I had moved out and found myself a little more. On this particular visit she was already blitzed when I showed up and immediately misgendered and deadnamed me. I didn't correct her because, well, I didn't want to piss her off. I let it slide but proceeded to talk about top surgery and how excited I am as a sort of nudge that I'm still trans and that hasn't changed. Well, things progressed and she started a fight. She began mocking me etc and when I said she was pissing me off and that I was leaving she said I was "preventing two women from talking" and that I only wanted "fake happy" conversation with her.

Is her being stoned an excuse to disrespect me blatantly and "forget" to correct herself?

I'm on no contact with her and I plan on keeping it that way, I just struggle with guilt and wondering if I overreacted.
