Keep Carr one more season, develop his scramble ability in the off-season.
Post Body

I know this whole discussion about Carr has been run down to the fucking core of the earth at this point, and I get the overall feeling that people get Carr. Everyone is tired and wants this team to start winning again.

With that being said, it is undeniable that Carr, under this OL, cannot survive it. He’s consistently making some mistakes here and there every time the pocket collapses, and he doesn’t seem to want to run the ball most times. And this sucks cause this guy really DOES have some fuckin wheels.

For one more year, I say they should extend Carr for ONE more year, and develop his ability to scramble and run the ball. If he can learn how to get away from the pocket and run the ball on his own, it would REALLY help this offense look more dynamic, and potentially confuse defenses if the right plays are called.

Of course, if this doesn’t work, then maybe afterwards explore other QB options, if possible. But if Carr can do it, then keep him around a little longer, I’d say.

You can argue that if we have a good enough OL, this shouldn’t be needed. And I’d say yeah to that, but at the same time, develop his scramble anyways. You never know whether the OL will be good, anymore, or if it will just remain the same as always. Besides, we’re going against the RAMS next year. The team which, ya know, HAS VON MILLER, DONALD AND JALEN RAMSEY (Of course, Renfrow might still cook him again but still.)

Overall, I have faith in Carr that he can do this and maybe bring a little more lto fe to this team. His job depends on it.
