Hey everyone!
Welcome to Weekly Update 142. This week we’ll check out the Raiden team’s presentation for the EEA and we will also update you on the last week’s development progress. Let’s dig in!
Raiden presentation for the EEA
The Enterprise Ethereum Alliance works with organizations on adoption of the Ethereum technology in their daily business operations. They aim to empower the Ethereum ecosystem to develop new business opportunities, drive industry adoption, and learn and collaborate with one another.
As a part of their activity EEA invited the Raiden team to make a presentation about the Raiden technology. The Raiden team accepted the invitation and decided that Dominik should be the person in charge. During the presentation Dominik explained how Raiden can help solve some of the main obstacles toward cryptocurrencies becoming a method of payment in everyday life. The video of the presentation is available here and if you have any additional questions feel free to leave a comment.
Development progress
This week in development progress we have a couple of very exciting updates.
In the Raiden light client repository developers started splitting open issues into two milestones. In the first milestone they left only issues they aim to resolve before the light client mainnet release while all the remaining issues are put into the second milestone. The Raiden light client mainnet release is very anticipated and we can’t wait to see it live!
The second update is the new github repository. The new repository is named “paywall” and currently we don’t have much more info about it. We can assume that it is a paywall solution which integrates Raiden in the backend.
Other development progress updates include further progress towards the 1.2.0 Raiden client release.
Conclusion
That’s everything for this week. In addition to Dominik’s presentation we encourage you to check out this very nice youtube video where all the major L2 projects are compared and briefly explained. As always, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment and we’ll get back to you the best we can.
Cheers!
