Post Body

Hey everyone!

Welcome to Weekly Update 135. For this weekā€™s update weā€™ll be focusing primarily on GitHub development progress with WebRTC and Cross Token Network Payments (CTNP). Letā€™s dive in!

Development progress

In the Weekly Update 134 we covered the new features that the Raiden development team aims to prioritize in the near term future.

The Raiden development team started working on the new features this past week. They continued progress on the WebRTC support in the Raiden client and the MVP version should soon be ready for review. CTNP feature was planned more in depth and as a result it was split into several smaller tasks. The new version of Synapse package was introduced in the Raiden Service Bundle which is one of the requirements for the new version of RSB to be ready.

In parallel, several important refactoring tasks were completed. Internal routing should soon be completely removed while removal of ā€œDeliveredā€ messages will enable for even faster transfers.

Conclusion

Thatā€™s it for the GitHub coverage of this Weekly Update. We went on a little GitHub hunt for the new projects building on Raiden and are interested in following RaidenAnalysis and Raiden Energy Trading. We will look deeper and go on the lookout for more to see what we can find to cover in the next Weekly Update. If you havenā€™t seen it already then make sure you checkout the new and updated Raiden Map. As always, please leave a comment if you have any questions about Raiden Network or this update. See you again next week.

Cheers!
