Hey everyone!
Welcome to Weekly Update 121. Donât forget that, since Alderaan just came out, a large portion of our updates will relate back to Alderaan going forward so we hope that your nodes are updated! Letâs dive into our update.
Raiden @ CogX 2020
CogX is described by the organizers as a global leadership summit and a festival of AI and emerging technologies. This year's event will be held between 8th and 10th of June in a virtual format. Last week the Raiden team announced their participation at the Web 3.0 & Decentralisation Stage at CogX.
The Raiden teamâs presentation is scheduled for the second day of the conference on June 9th at 18.00 London time (UTC 1). Raiden will be represented by the Raiden developer, Dominik, and the title of his presentation is âHow to Not Scare Off Your Users With $$$ On-Chain Feesâ.
Link to the stream will be shared as soon as it is available so make sure to follow the official Raiden twitter account and subreddit, if you are interested.
Alderaan bug bounty
A Bug bounty for the Alderaan release has been announced in the blog post introducing the release. Last week the Raiden team reminded bounty hunters about the rules of the bug bounty program.
All the critical components of the Alderaan release are in the scope of the bug bounty while bounties go as high as $20,000 for the discovery of tier 1 vulnerabilities. Complete information and the rules of the Alderaan bug bounty can be found in the corresponding medium article.
Once again, we invite everyone to try out the Alderaan release and provide valuable feedback if you have any suggestions or problems. For any technical questions, the developers can be reached in the official gitter chat while the community is very active in the unofficial telegram group.
Development progress
Last week the Raiden development team was finishing up several tasks that were not ready for the Alderaan release.
Most of the completed tasks were related to the testing infrastructure and minor refactoring. In parallel the new WebUI was tested and it should soon be ready for release. The developers working on the light client continued working towards implementing support for the Ethereum mainnet.
Conclusion
To wrap up this weekâs update, donât miss the bug bounty if you happen to be a bounty hunter. We will continue to cover the exciting news of Alderaan, if you need assistance to setup a node then please join the Raiden Gitter or the Raiden Telegram. If you have any questions about this update or the Raiden Network in general then please leave a comment and we will get back to you the best we can.
Cheers!
