I know there is some fairly mild rapids around there but one person told me that at the height of the season it can get to class VI. I'm planning on making a drive out that way just to scout out the area but if anyone has already figured out good in and out points that would be a big help. I'm open to any advice anyone has for either Shenandoah or Potomac but I am mostly looking at Shenandoah.
From maps it looks like there may be some stretches that are impassible. It's hard to tell from a map. I'll be driving out there soon but some rail against the river will make make it hard to survey the whole area from a car.
A buddy might be joining me later if I say it looks golden but we also might put it off.
We're especially looking for short runs.
