Thank you /r/radiohead for being so cool
Post Body

I just wanted to give appreciation to this awesome subreddit. Being a HUGE fan of Heavy Metal (Dethklok tattoo on my back), you really get a glimpse of just how toxic the metal community can be when it comes to debating who's "good" or not. Being a musician, this level of thinking is what contributes hate & turning subjective opinions into objective for no good reason.

Coming here was an amazing breath of fresh air from that. I remember my first (and only so far I believe) post asking if it was odd that "Packed Like Sardines" was one of my favorite songs by Radiohead. That opinion was embraced, and it made me feel extremely comfortable with giving my opinion on a band that has completely changed my level of thinking, right next to Tool.

So, thank you /r/radiohead for being so awesome and realizing that musical taste is subjective and you aren't less of a human if you have a different opinion.
