Learning about radio broadcast
Post Body

Greetings all,

I was hoping y’all might be able to offer me a little help/Insight. I am working with my former High School to develop a broadcast program. As of now the focus is on video production of sports programs. Eventually we may expand to other offerings. But id like to eventually work with the kids on radio broadcasts, I don’t think AM or FM will be financially feasible for the school to operate, but internet radio is a definite possibility. But I’d like to expose them to the technology and system design of a radio station.

I come from a live theater (lighting, audio, carpentry and a LITTLE rigging) background. So I understand some principles, but I don’t know the differences between the formats/applications.

Are there any resources (videos, books, websites) that you might suggest for me and potentially the kids?
