Possible solution for fixing Chrome scroll lag and stutter on YouTube and other websites.
If you are experiencing lag when scrolling YouTube and playing videos on high resolutions like 4k you can fix it very easily.
First it is recommended to disable MPO as it is known to cause issues on chromium browsers on newer cards.
After go to your Google Chrome (or any other chromium browser)
*Make sure Hardware Acceleration is turned on*
Type in address bar chrome://flags
Search for the " Hardware-accelerated video decode " ( chrome://flags/#disable-accelerated-video-decode )
Set it to Disabled
And that's it, no more lag when scrolling and watching videos. No need to disable hardware acceleration, change ANGLE graphics backend.
It won't abuse your cpu, gpu will be still used.
I hope that I helped !
