Hi everyone,
First thanks for all the messages and support. Initially when I decided to go the donor route I didn’t realize so many people would be so supportive. I picked a white donor and it really changed me and my husbands life.
Of course I’ve received a lot of hate as well and am still considering deleting my account and just taking care of my baby with my husband, but we’ll see. I’m sorry if you think I’m some sort of race traitor for not having a baby with my Indian husband or another Indian man, but I chose what I wanted and my husband accepted it.
As for the update: my baby is almost 4 months old! It’s been the craziest time and the reason why I haven’t been able to respond to a lot of messages. My husband and I are doing our best and my son is very healthy. He’s big like his father (my white donor) and I’m loving him more everyday.
As for my donor, he’s still in our lives. He gets along great with our son, and I feel like our son has an affinity for him over my husband.
He visits every week and we try and go on dates when my husband can take care of our baby.
Things are a bit different now. Before it felt like my donor would always bully my husband to establish dominance. But now it’s more like it’s obvious who is the man of the house and my husband generally just follows orders without protest and my donor doesn’t give him much thought.
At the end of the day both still treat me like a princess and I’m doing best to raise my half white half Indian son right!
