Visiting Madison probably for the last time in a loooong time (I used to be a regular for years as my relatives lived here for almost two decades). I loved Madison. From a little Quebecoise teenager who barely knew that such a State existed (Wisco… what?), I started flying in once or twice a year and I discovered many things here. Even as a Canadian living all over the world, Madison became, at least a little bit, like home. There were soooo many adventures, novelties and discoveries: so many bike rides hoeing around downtown at night, Madison hippies, experiencing “American culture” firsthand, frat boys on State Street/UW Campus, James Madison park, photoshoots in corn fields (places that are now someone’s living room), skinny dipping in the lakes (yes, I’m old enough to remember times when the police had more important things to worry about than young people having sexy fun in the water at night), Devil’s Lake, AirVenture, the Dells, the skaters at the Eastside skatepark, random house parties, Craigslist hookups (OMG yes those Craigslist hookups!) and soooo many other memories. I stayed in touch with some people thru the years but so many have disappeared from my life (lost touch, got married, got locked up, died); thankfully the memories live on. Wait a second, you’re not here to read about my reflections on times gone by.

Being the nostalgic, sensitive biatch that I am, I’m immensely sad to go (not my choice) but I’d love to end it with a bang. I have a head full of naughty ideas (most probably too naughty for a lot of you), hoping to find a guy with balls full of milk who needs head! ;-)

Judging how my posts usually go (fakes, flakes, weirdos) and how technically reliable reddit is, this will end with me wasting dozens of hours playing ping pong and being penpals with hundreds of guys only to end up saying “screw that”, I’ll save whatever time I have left and just listen to 80s music with a glass of wine. But still, it’s worth a try, one last time. I owe it to myself.

Goodbye Madtown - you’ve been good to me! Thanks for everything! (but I still haven’t met a single one of those fighter jet pilots who “banged” above my head for years… I know you’re out there, I hear you every day!)
