I would like to take a bath with you.
Here's what I'm imagining:
I invite you to take a bath with me. You enter the bathroom to find me already in the tub with the bath filled with warm water. The lights are off in the bathroom except for some candles on the sink. There’s a scented bath bomb sitting next to the bath. I watch you slowly take off your clothes, and then step into the tub with me. You pick up the bath bomb and set it in the water. The water bubbles and the scent of lavender fills the room.
We start sitting on opposite sides of the bath, just admiring each other. Eventually, you turn around and sit on my lap, and I gently caress your body. We talk in a low voice to each other, and feel the exhaustion of the week melt away. I kiss your neck and back.
Sometimes you take my hands and interlace your fingers in mine. When you release my fingers, I return to caressing you.
You turn around again, and we take soapy washcloths all over each other’s skin while looking each other in the eye.
When we’ve finished bathing each other, we get out of the tub together and dry each other off.
We both feel a sense of gratitude and wonder that we get to be together.
