ABOUT ME (aka “Just the facts”)

So I’m 38 and male, as you might have gleaned from the title (this is going to age poorly if I actually forget to list these details up there). I’m of South Asian origin, an inch below 6 feet, and located downtown. I’m single, DDF, and am capable of hosting.

Oh, here comes the fun part; talking about myself, a thing I am definitely good at.

Let me start with what I’m looking for. I’m hoping to find something casual at this point in my life. Labels are tough, not because I’m avoiding them, but because different words can mean different things to people, so I’ll try to give details and let you, the reader, decide what you want to call it. I’m not looking for someone to get married to, but I’m also not looking for a hit it and quit it (that’s still a term, right? The youths are still saying that?). I am looking for something ongoing, where we enjoy spending time with each other, and are looking to have some fun with no real expectations of trying to hit milestones. Whatever you think is the right term for that, I agree with you.

As to me, I’m a social person. I enjoy being out and about often, and enjoy trying out new activities. I’m an excellent conversationalist, and I try to alternate between fiction and non-fiction in my reading, so I’m happy discussing Justin Bieber or Justin Trudeau, Bill Skarsgard or Bill Gates, Gordon Ramsay or...a Gordon who’s not primarily known for their pop culture contributions (Gordon Lightfoot? Gordon Pinsent? Gordie Howe? Lotta Canadian Gordons.) All of which is to say I have a wide range of interests, so we’re likely to find some overlap there outside of the bedroom.

Which brings me to

WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR (aka “I’ve run out of funny title ideas”)

I am pretty open in that regard. My main requirement is someone who’s atleast in their 30s, just so there is some common ground between us, as I don't want to say something like "remember dial-up internet" and be met with a blank stare. I’d also like someone who is outgoing, or atleast open to not staying inside when the weather’s nice. Outside of that, I’m not going to take anything off the table.

I haven’t spoken much about sexual preferences in this post, which I know is noticeable given the subreddit this is being posted in, but the reason for that is that I’m also not ruling out much in that arena either. I’m straight myself, which means I’m looking for a woman or someone AFAB. When we’re in a position of comfort with each other, we can discuss kinks we’re into and what we’d like to try, and figure things out from there. I am a switch myself, so whichever way you lean in that regard doesn’t necessarily become an instant dealbreaker.

Compatibility is the biggest thing I’m looking for, both in and out of the bedroom.
