Hey All,

Happy Thursday and, hope everyone has had a wonderful week thus far :)

I'm posting here because I have had nothing but amazing (mostly) experiences with the people I've met and gotten to know from this subreddit. Some have turned into legitimately serious relationships, some ended up being very pleasant dates, and others, I am still friends with to this very day. In any case, Friday is tomorrow and it'd be fun to go on a date with someone if we end up vibing :)

Regardless of vibing, everyone has value, so don't let others put you down or disparage you just because they didn't get exactly what they wanted. If people can't see the merit and value in simply getting to know someone, having a pleasant chat, or hanging out and exploring the city, beyond just getting laid, then I have some questions for those people 😅. For me what counts most is whats inside, ie someone's personality, the quality of one's character etc. Those aspects are the biggest ones for me and have the greatest impact. With that shpeel out of the way, here's a bit more about me haha. I'm a handsome 31 year old blonde Caucasian male, with blue eyes, a healthy amount of tattoos (just joking, I have an unreasonably large amount of them lol), with an athletic/slim build. Sarcasm is my default tone of voice and I can't help that. I do my best to take things in stride and roll with the punches to maintain my sanity and take a light hearted approach to otherwise stressful situations. I'm very down to earth and enjoy a simple walk in the city at night to going out to various events whether they be concerts, art exhibits, and enjoying what the city has to offer to its fullest. With that said, I also enjoy nights in hanging out with friends, cooking a delicious meal, or losing most of my friends through a game of monopoly. I regularly partake in various different and eclectic hobbies. I like to challenge myself with new ones and see how far I can go with it. Definitely keeps things interesting haha.

The biggest thing for me is the connection you make with people. At the end of the day, the world is essentially burning, so my solution to that is finding some cool people to sit back and watch the apocalyptic fireworks with. No matter how much money, or success you achieve in life, the only thing you'll have left when alls said and done is the relationships and memories youve built with people. I've been in that position before in my early 20s, when I was hell bent on chasing the almighty dollar. At the end of it, I had everything by modern society standards but still had absolutely nothing because i neglected the important people around me. That was a very humbling experience to say the least 😅. In any case, indiscriminate hook ups are great and all but lack any value for me if there's no chemistry present between us.

I have my own place in the junction and I have worked in harm reduction for the past 4 years more or less. I started out working in safe injection sites right at the start of the pandemic during its "fever pitch" (Pun fully intended lol) as an overdose prevention support worker. In a nutshell, I would just watch people inject fentanyl and crystal meth for 8 hours a day and then respond if they experienced an overdose. More than that though, me and my coworkers used the site as a launch pad. Many of the individuals accessing the service were disenfranchised, stigmatized, subject to stigma and other barriers that would prevent them from participating in society in a meaningful way. My goal was to tear down those barriers and connect people to the services they needed most to reach the goals they set for themselves. It's truly amazing how big of a difference that one person simply just "giving a shit" can make and that is something I do my best to emulate in every interaction with the clients I work with. Recently I was promoted to performing a similar role at shelters across the city. Providing front line response, but also helping build a sense of community, performing advocacy, training staff and clients alike, the list goes on 😅.

I love trying new things, currently I have taken up airbrushing as my new hobby. If you have any potentially fun ideas in mind to try, then absolutely send me a message, I am very open minded. So to sum all of this up, I would just like to meet some cool people, I'm not going into this with any expectations. If I end up meeting a wonderful person who I click with especially well....Amazing! If I end up going on a fun date and make a new friend....also just as equally Amazing! I take a bit of pride in being well, just unabashedly myself 😅 I don't harbor secrets and I'll always be upfront, soo what you see with me is what you get.
