Hello everyone!
I want to thank everyone who contacted me and booked appointments this month - I had some unforgettable experiences and I'm grateful for every one of them! Since we're coming to the end of March, I'm posting to let you know that appointments for the month of April are booking now.
For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about or you want a refresher, I offer 1 on 1 pasta lessons, where I teach you how to turn raw ingredients into something magical! It is also open to groups, however you do need to tell me in advance.
I do not host during the lessons - I come to you. The only thing you are required to have is a functional dishwasher, a decent sized sink, a stove, a garbage can, and a willingness to learn. I bring everything else.
To give you an idea of what a lesson consists of, we introduce ourselves and make sure we're a good match in the kitchen. I unpack evening, explain what ingredients do what, how they interact with each other, and a quick lesson on what to expect. Once we start, it doesn't take too long to make the dough. After it's ready it needs to sit, so we start to make the sauce. While that is simmering and the dough is resting, we have a bit of down time.
The down time is something I want to clarify. Typically there are two types of people who offer a suggestion for something to do. 1) the overtly sexual person who thinks I'm coming over to make them pasta and screw their brains out, and 2) the people who suggest something like watching a movie or playing a boardgame with the intention of having sex.
The point of this isn't for me to come over and have sex. The point of this is for two people who would have otherwise most likely never met, to come together and share an experience. It's to share things about ourselves with others in a safe environment and to feel a connection. Some examples of things I've experienced are:
1) listening to someone playing classical music on a violin (extremely talented person by the way).
2) listening to someone read a story they wrote (very chilling and suspenseful).
3) a private concert with band mates.
4) watching someone paint and bring a canvas to life.
5) photo journey of amazing trips they've had with narration.
6) a deep tissue massage.
Basically what I'm saying, without trying to sound like a jerk, is I prioritize appointments to those who I think can really wow me, or provide something I can't get anywhere else. I don't want to make anyone feel bad or anything like that, but if your suggestion is to watch a movie or play a boardgame, I urge you to try a bit harder. Everyone has something inside of them that they're good at, and I want to experience it!
If you have questions you can message me directly or comment and I'll try my best to get back to you.
