Hey there! Thanks for opening my post. Are you also trapped at home by today's wicked snowstorm?
I'm looking for someone - maybe you? - who's single and would like to go on fun spring/summer dates. Here's some ideas for things we could do together:
- test out a fresh cup of java from one of the city's many unique vendors
- take-out food from gems like Square Boy or Cosmic Pizza - please help me stop eating Monkey Sushi alone
- cook something delicious together - I eat most kinds of cuisine
- eat baked goods - I like to bake, last thing I made was eggless sugar cookies (good friend is allergic)
- visit a film set casually and politely (season 5 of The Boys is filming soon .... I'm just saying)
- prep for the 2025 Oscars by watching some of the potential nominations - I live and die by 2025 /r/oscarsdeathrace
- find free or almost free comedy shows across the city and have a laugh(s)
- check out live music and soak up the sun (ideally not at Scotia, fuck that bag fee)
- board games/card games - we could make Billionaire Banshee work for two people and I have a few two player games in my collection
- video games - I really only know Nintendo so you'll have to help me get up to speed with a PS or Xbox controller
- take long walks/hikes to nowhere in particular
- see an exhibit somewhere in the city - I'm not up-to-date on what's out there rn
- patios. allllllll the patios!
In addition and to reiterate the above, I like standup/sketch comedy, live music, trivia, bar karaoke, pool, baseball, hockey, movies, board games, Magic the Gathering (although I also played Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!), video games (thinking of finally finishing Breath of the Wild), reading (though it's been awhile), and trying out new take-out food across the city (I was a Yelp Elite in 2021). I'm also open to ideas, so please suggest things you are interested in that aren't listed here.
I'm white, blonde hair, blue eyes, average weight/height. I'm enthusiastic and nerdy. I really dig my job. I enjoy more intimate 1:1 hangouts which is why I'm getting back into dating!
I'm looking for a guy who is:
- Active - You don't need to have a six pack or a "normal" BMI, but taking care of yourself is something I find sexy.
- Fairly open age range (25-40) - Plus or minus a few years, but I follow 1/2 your age 7, but I prefer younger.
- Working full-time - Part-time studies are sexy, but I'm looking for someone who's part of the working world.
- Not living with family - Siblings are okay, but looking for someone who's got a similar lifestyle to me.
- Living somewhere central-ish - I'm ideally looking for someone who lives near me. It is important to me that we can easily meet up by taking line 1 and/or line 2 and that you not live in Scarborough or Etobicoke. Sorry, work keeps me busy :(
Not fussy about:
- What you do for a living - although I have had good experiences with guys in tech & engineers, I'm happy to expand my horizons.
- Your education - I have a Master's, and I recognize you don't need to have had similar education for us to have fun. It would be hypocritical to be classist when I'm the black sheep who went to uni.
- What gender you're attracted to - don't care as long as you're attracted to me! I've dated a few bi guys.
- Your background - I love meeting visitors and people who immigrated to Toronto. My biggest priority is meeting someone I click with.
- What you like to do - as long as we have stuff in common!
If you're interested in meeting up based on this post, I'd love to hear a little about you and what you'd like to do on our first date - I do love the little details. I would hate for you to spend a lot of time on your message, so please don't spend too much time trying to get the conversation going! Here are some starters if you can't think of what to say:
- My favourite board game is [insert here]. I'd love to play it together at S&L.
- The most recent movie I watched is [insert here]. I'm excited about [this movie] for the 2025 Oscars.
- I'd love to visit [insert restaurant here].
- I take my coffee [insert here].
- I wrecked trivia the last time I went, but [insert question] really got me.
- [insert here] is my fav karaoke song.
Hope to talk to you soon!
