We're a couple of massage practitioners (aged 37 and 32, male and female) who have been to many seminars for learning - and teaching - massage. We were thinking of organizing something like that in the Toronto area. This event would be non-sexual and free of charge. The style would be either Swedish or deep tissue, although the focus will be more on relaxation than any serious therapy.
Here's how it would work.
- You message us basic details about you, why you want to learn massage and what you hope to get out of it.
- 2. We arrange for a phone call, possibly even a meeting over coffee. Just to make sure you're a normal and serious person etc. This subreddit has a reputation.
- 3. We book you in for a 60 minute session. You have to show up on time! You will be paired with a partner, and if there are an odd number of people, someone's session will be ruined because you came late or didn't show up.
- 4. Once you arrive, you can take off your coat and you should wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind if some oil drops on it.
- 5. You will be assigned to a partner. We can't decide in advance the gender of your partner. If you are female and request a female partner, we will do everything to make that happen. If you are male and only want a female partner, this post is not the right one for you.
- 6. After the time is up, you must wipe down the surfaces (cleaning supplies provided) and leave promptly so the next set of participants can come in.
We will likely do this at a hotel room or an airbnb. When responding, please indicate the following: your age (we don't discriminate, but you must be above 18), your location, whether you can drive, why you are interested in learning about massage, your face pic (you don't have to send that right away), and when you're available (weeknights, weekends etc).
