The last time I committed to someone was back in the Jurassic era, AKA pre-Tinder - or so it feels like. We were together for five years and engaged for 18 months before we realized we had outgrown each other. Since then, I've been playing the field and having a good time with some amazing women. Some of them could have been more, but we never quite made it to that point. And that point is going away with them to see how they are on vacation, TRUST me this is the best way to see who someone really is. Red flags can hide on dates, but they can’t hide when you are sharing a hotel room for an extended period of time.
Now, don't let what may appear to be a spotty romantic history give you the wrong idea. I'm absolutely open to the idea of something real and I’m have no fears or anxieties about loving someone or someone loving me. Because, love is a fucking awesome thing. I don’t understand how so many people can be so scared of it. Sure you could get hurt, but isn’t that just, you know, life...random chaos beyond our control?
I think the reason I’m still single is because most women I meet get frustrated with me because I'm not in a rush to settle down. In fact, I'm happy to be single for the rest of my life if need be. I refuse to settle for just anyone.
I want to feel like I got struck by fucking lighting!
And that tends to scare a lot of people off, but if it doesn't scare you, then read on.
Here is the lowdown on me.
I'm 5'11", I work out, and I like to stay active. I'm a kind-hearted person with a critical mind. I'm not afraid to question something if it doesn't add up, and I don't care about being popular. I'm a big believer in living in the gray area - you know, that space between black and white? It seems like most people these days are reactionary or binary thinkers, but I refuse to be an algorithm.
Professionally, I'm a budding creative producer. developing feature films, TV/streaming shows, podcasts, and other creative pursuits. I'm passionate about storytelling and creating art that moves people. Before that, I was one of my industry's most in-demand sales and marketing consultants, but I lost my taste for it. And wanted to flex my creative muscle.
When I'm not working/creating, I'm a HUGE culture vulture and cinephile. I love a mix of film, music, literature, and graphic novels. And let's not forget that I'm a huge nerd and music lover. My tastes are pretty diverse, ranging from Queens of The Stone Age to Fleetwood Mac to Big L and the Wu-Tang Clan.
I also love good conversation with friends over cold beers and tasty eats. I love to eat out, check out new spots. Whether hole in the wall or Michelin rated. I'm always down to try new things and travel to new places. It would be nice to have a travel companion, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm not a vegan or vegetarian, but I do try to eat healthy - lots of plant-based meals and smoothies.
Now, let's talk about what I'm looking for in a partner. I prefer women under 35 but no younger than 23. A mature woman, you know, someone who’s only hobbies/interests are NOT drinking/clubbing and shopping. Because those just aren’t hobbies.
Oh, and no kids, I prefer someone who doesn’t smoke but is not a deal breaker.
I need someone who's warm and caring, like a human-sized heating pad. Honesty and communication are big for me, so if you're into playing games or ghosting, we're not going to be a match made in heaven. If you're into fitness and healthy eating, that's a major plus. But don't worry, I won't judge you for ordering a side of fries (I might even steal one or two).
I find an intelligent woman who is well-read to be a major turn-on, so if you can hold your own in a debate and give me a good run on game night, we're off to a good start. And if you also have a little bit of that entrepreneurial spirit in you, let's start our own business and take over the world! Or at least our own little corner of it.
So, if you're a warm, nurturing, fiercely independent woman who wants a partner who will challenge you intellectually and support your goals, hit me up. At the very least I promise that I won't bore you.
