Hello! Yes, this is me!

As a great mathematician, and multi-decade hide-&-seek champ, once wrote: “The industrial revolution and it’s consequences have been a disaster on my dating life.” No less true then than now, we’re all struggling to find that special person; the one who makes us laugh, comforts us when we cry, loves us for who we are, and mayhaps be a little dummy thicc? Haha, jk! Unless... Butt, I mean, but seriously, though it has been hard, I’m still looking for that woman who just gets me.

I know you’re out there. You’re like me; looking for something more. Video games, anime and netflix aren’t your hobbies, your media choices are not a substitute for a personality, you touch grass on a regular basis, and you’re looking for a serious relationship and someone to build something with, not your Player 2. Maybe you’re a nerd but not a Nerd™ and sick of living an episode of The Big Bang Theory vicariously through people that don’t know the difference. If so, this might be the start of something great!

I know going into this, it’s a tall order, ok? I’m an “acquired taste” to say the least. I’m hard headed, a little cynical, too much of a smart ass for my own good and not for everyone. BUT, I’m also kind, loving, loyal and strong willed. I stick to my morals and values and am not afraid to do what I think is right consistently. Not to mention really funny, everyone says so, even your mom. If you want someone that’s going to stand by you and stand up for you, while making you laugh and feel appreciated, I’m your guy. Who you are is so much more important to me than what you look like. If we have chemistry and you share my morals, values and life goals, then please reach out.

As I said, I’m looking for something that turns into a serious relationship. Marriage, kids, building a homestead and a life together. I’m a Christian (non denominational rn, but exploring my faith), an Anarchist, and someone tired of what’s being shoved down our throats by society. Personal freedom is very important to me. I’m not “Trad” but definitely not some progressive, perpetually outraged on behalf of others either. Old fashioned and politically incorrect, I guess you could say. I would love to get to a point where my wife could stay at home with the kids full time. That being said, I’d gladly be a house husband if you can bring home the bacon (I make my own, it’s amazing). I love kids and whether it’s you or me with the career, I will love our children and want to be with them as much as humanly possible.

I’m very outdoorsy and enjoy working with my hands. I hunt, fish, and camp whenever possible. When I’m not doing that, I enjoy woodworking and little projects to keep me busy. I’m equal parts mechanically inclined and creative/artistic. I enjoy reading/writing, and I’m a huge movie nerd. Aside from that I’m also passionate about homesteading and self sustainable living. It’ll take some time, but that’s the kind of lifestyle I am working towards, one step at a time. A chunk of property, a decent house, a large garden and some livestock is my idea of paradise and should be yours too if this post interests you at all. It’s hard work that I’m willing to sacrifice a lot for, but so much more preferable to living in a city and working in an office only to get out to the cottage once or twice a year. If that’s the life you want to live, you should know I’m not cut out for it and am actively seeking the opposite.

I think it’s also important to note, I’m in the process of losing a lot of weight (6’2” and fat af) with success, but still have a long way to go. It’s been an entire lifestyle change and has resulted in me trying to be more active. I may not be your ideal body type, but self improvement and being healthy is important to me, as well as for you to know I am doing something about it (this isn’t even my final form!). If you’re working on getting healthier, we can get there together or if you already are then you can cheer me on from the finish line, but either way I want to do it together.

So, if you’re still reading this, reach out and let’s get to know one another. I can’t imagine spending our lives together and not being best friends, so that’s gotta come first. I want to laugh and love our way through the hard times that are ahead. In general, this whole thing will take time and will probably be long distance at first until we’re both ready and able to be together. I’m in no rush as finding the right person is far more important than just not being alone.
