It’s hard talking about yourself, promoting yourself like a half off meal deal at an old restaurant desperate for customers. I’m just a guy looking for something that turns into something serious. Marriage, kids; you know, that old chestnut. I’ve made more detailed posts with mixed results, so let’s go brief and personality-heavy.

Reddit might not be the best place for people like me to find each other, but I know we’re here. Outside of finding people to talk to, I really dislike reddit and only came here because it was recommended to me by a friend. Reading the posts on here, it’s clear I don’t fit in. I’m not a gamer, not into anime, Starwars, Marvel/DC capeshit, and my Funko Pop collection is severely lacking (zero). Not at all part of the “don’t ask questions, just consoom product, get excited for next product to consoom” crowd. In other words, not a preformative, Big Bang Theory nerd, but a rant-autistically-about-a-niche-interest-I’m-hyperfixating-on type nerd.

As I said, I’m looking for something that turns into a serious relationship. Marriage, kids, building a homestead and a life together. I’m a Christian (non denominational rn, but exploring my faith), an Anarchist, and someone tired of what’s being shoved down our throats by society. I’m not “Trad” but definitely not some progressive, perpetually outraged on behalf of others either. Old fashioned and politically incorrect, I guess you could say. I would love to get to a point where my wife could stay at home with the kids full time. That being said, I’d gladly be a house husband if you can bring home the bacon (I make my own, it’s amazing). I love kids and whether it’s you or me with the career, I will love our children and want to be with them as much as humanly possible.

I’m also very outdoorsy most of the year – hunting, fishing, camping, but when I’m not doing that, I also equally enjoy snuggling up on the couch and watching some movies together (huge movie nerd). Also really enjoy cooking, canning, gardening, and working with my hands to create something beautiful and useful. Homesteading and self sufficiency are very important to me.

I think it’s also important to note, I’m in the process of losing a lot of weight (6’2” and fat af) with success, but still have a long way to go. It’s been an entire lifestyle change and has resulted in me trying to be more active. I may not be your ideal body type, but self improvement and being healthy is important to me, as well as for you to know I am doing something about it (this isn’t even my final form!). If you’re working on getting healthier, we can get there together or if you already are then you can cheer me on from the finish line, but either way I want to do it together.

So, if you’re still reading this, reach out and let’s get to know one another. I can’t imagine spending our lives together and not being best friends, so that’s gotta come first. In general, this whole thing will take time and will probably be long distance at first until we’re both ready and able to be together. I’m in no rush as finding the right person is far more important than just not being alone.
