Hello!

Second of all, while I am primarily looking for something that can lead to companionship, I am always excited to meet new people and create friendships. If you're gunning for a friendship, I do not care about your gender or orientation, but if you are open to companionship, my preferences is anyone that is female presenting, but it's not a requirement!

I have had my fair deal of dating apps, as well as in person encounters, and the hookup culture is excruciatingly not for me, even if I enjoyed it when I was a bit younger. This has led me to want to do something like this, where I can message people that share common interests and are willing to take the time to just chit chat here and there, without the context of a sexual encounter, and without something short term being enforced.

My physical appearance:
I am 24, 6ft tall with brown eyes. Light skinned asian with an average build, have been going to the gym regularly. I have always had super long wavy hair but I actually cut it a bit shorter and added layers a few weeks ago, so medium length black hair with bleached ends is me now:) I do consider myself attractive, it seems shallow coming from myself, but people have hinted that yes, I am quite attractive when basing it on my past partners/encounters. I do not mind sharing pics after chatting for a few days. I am into dressing the way I like, and express myself with lots of earrings and rings and necklaces, loose wide leg pants that hide my docs is my kinda vibe:o Some say I have hippie vibes, others see me more as a punk. I don't like the hippie outlook since those people are like the meanest people I have ever met that dress as if they're nice, while punks are like the exact opposite ngl.

About my sexual identity:
I have been in the bdsm community for a few years now here in montreal. I do enjoy going to play parties, dungeons, and kink events in general but I do not go as often, simply because sexual pleasure is not a priority for me at the moment. I am a switch, I can be both dom leaning or sub leaning depening on my mood, or on the buttons you choose to push. I consider myself fairly kinky and open minded,, and have lots of toys and accessories and what not. I rather leave it at that because I am not outright looking for something sexual straight from the get go.

My interests:
I like to delve into many hobbies. I am a degustation connoisseur, in that I love to have a large collection of candles, incense sticks, tea cups and tea varieties, vinyls and so on. I always want many trinkets to please my senses. I absolutely love film photography!! I Scan and develop my own film, and have a wide variety of camera formats, including video film (super 8, 16mm). Creative writing has helped me in my mental health, so I like to write a lot, draw. I love board games, this section of me can really go on forever. I am super passionate about astrophotography and astrophysics, and am planning on buying a telescope or star tracker to take pics of the sky:) I have gone stargazing quite a few times and would like someone to accompany me eventually! I love going to shows! You will see more in the next section but i go to shows often, especially punk shows at small music venues.

My music taste:
Giving this a whole section because idk why, finding people that like the same music as you can be so enthralling. The first few genres I fell in love with are artists that include Daniel Caeser, Frank Ocean. Smooth and alluringly seductive music. I then transitioned to more calming and relaxing music like the Marias, Men i trust, Clairo, and so on. I think it's kind of obvious that I like slowed down and reverbed songs, and I actually do it on my own! My favourite song of all time is you might be sleeping by jakob ogawa & clairo. I will never get tired of it. My most played genre now though is punk/rock/shoegaze. Julie is my favorite rock/shoegaze band. I have all of their vinyls and even ordered their new one for the album that just came out. Other than that I have lots of other playlists I listen to all the time. I have my own samba and salsa playlist, and my fav playlists is one that only has 2 artists, mac demarco (also have all his vinyls) and jessica pratt. Actually seeing jessica pratt this wednesday:)

My mental health:
I have spent a lot of time meeting people, getting attached to people and losing people. Sometimes it was just something casual, sometimes it was much more. That kind of lifestyle doesn't suit me anymore. I used to have low grade depression, and would be extremely numb, constantly dissociating. Being a stoner didn't help, but after working on myself for a really long time, I have finally been able to enjoy my own time. This is due to many factors, such as me going to the gym regularly, watching my diet, getting a full time job as a data analyst, going from a stoner to only smoking socially (albeit still rarely). I can definitely talk about this in detail more if we get to know eachother more.

Following up on my mental health and what I am looking for:
Because of where I am now, I feel like I am ready to take some time into getting to know someone again. Dating apps, kinky munches, parties and shows all give me ptsd and I do not want to meet people that way anymore. I am poly, not currently seeing other people, and can be monogamous for the right person. Just because I am poly does not mean I crave or need multiple partners, it just means I can, that I have, and that I believe in ethical non-monogamy**.** That's about it! My only physical preference is that you be tall. Yes, I am a man that likes tall women, I am not sure why that is so rare. Also it's just a preference! Not a requirement.
