Hello! Hope this message finds you well. Here's a little about me, and feel free to message me if I pique your interest.
I'm someone who's always been drawn to adventure and problem solving. It can be figuring out a complex challenge at work, exploring a new place, or even just trying new food. I love pushing myself to learn and experience more. However, I feel like I'm more of an introverted person until I get to know people personally and more intimately.
I work as an aerospace stress engineer and this is perfect for me because airplanes have always been a passion of mine. What excites me most about this work is the challenge - tackling difficult problems and constantly learning new things pushes me to become a better and more knowledgeable person. I don't feel like I am very often, but I assume I will become more confident on these things with time.
Outside of work, I stay active and love spending my time with family and friends. Pickleball has quickly become one of my favorite ways to stay competitive, and I also enjoy working out, playing video games, checking out new restaurants, and traveling / hiking. Food is probably my favorite way to explore new cultures, but the history of a place I'm visiting is a close second. Traveling has always been something I've wanted to do because I have a deep curiosity about the world like its people, geography, and religions. However, I haven't really been outside of North America and this year I'm changing that by going to Japan for three weeks in October and November to be there for Halloween. My long-term goal is to live and work in the Netherlands (or maybe Ireland) I have Dutch ancestry, and something about the landscape and culture has always drawn me in.
As far as my creed or philosophy that I live by... I don't really have it fleshed out yet. I try my best to live by a few core values which are kindness, consideration, and curiosity. Works well with Christianity, which I am one of those too. I want to be someone others can rely, someone who is dependable and thoughtful in everything that they do. I grew up poor, and that experience shaped a lot of who I am today - the good and the bad. More than anything, I want to build a life with a loving family, a peaceful home, and a strong balance between work and everything else that matters.
I also have a few quirks about me, like I love the 90s style and that shows through what I wear and some of the items I have at my home. I'm also good at doing voice impressions and that tends to catch people off guard lol.
What really drives me is the feeling of progress. A perfect day for me is one where I know I've moved closer to my goals, whether that's in my career, personal life, or the future I'm working toward.
I would love to learn more about you!
