Good evening. I want to start my acknowledging the difficulty in meeting people online and say up front that while I'm hopeful I'm not big on playing expectations on other people. Most online interactions I've had and with me getting ghosted, and that's now just the way of the world and there's no sense chasing someone who doesn't want me. I also think healthy boundaries are good and want you to feel respected.

About me: up front, I'll say some things that might be deal breakers. I don't want kids and have had a vasectomy. I'm 5'6" barefoot so if you need someone tall to feel validated it ain't me, but I'm not intimidated by tall women and appreciate more than one body type. I have a dog and if you can't hang with dogs then I'm out.

I have a steady job and I'm happily self sufficient. My passion in life is woodworking. I think wood is beautiful and I hate waste. I'd I can retire early I plan to pursue woodworking as supplemental income, and perhaps teach. This has also led me to learn more about DIY/handyman type things, and I prefer to learn to do things myself than buy a thing or hire a professional. That said I know my limits and I'm not about to get electrocuted or flood my house.

I love to cook and cooking for others is a way I express love. I do more savory cooking but I also dabble in desserts. I am a coffee nerd and drink it black usually, but it's important to me to not be a snob or make someone feel bad for what they like. I like to be fancy but hate pretentiousness.

What I am looking for is a loving, intimate, monogamous relationship. I want someone who wants to make their partner feel loved and appreciated, and I want to make my partner feel the same. I like doing small gestures of appreciation, like handwritten letters, surprise treats (if you like treats), and physical affection. I think I'm a good communicator and try to be kind and diplomatic when resolving conflict. I don't do well with people who tend to be hot and cold; I need stability to maintain my mental health.
