Hey guys!
So I'd posted a few days back regarding a houseparty in Bengaluru. Got tons of DMs. It was mostly guys as expected but surprisingly a few girls did reach out to me. Tbh, I wasn't expecting comments or upvotes at all but since you guys were actually very supportive, I thought I'd share an update. Regarding the delay, I was really caught up and nothing else. So here goes:
Though I'd actually asked only for one guy to join, many reached out to me. I made it a point to try and reply to most of you guys. I'm sorry if I left someone out. Your message might have been missed due to the shitty app. But I did try my best to reply to everyone. Made a few friends and most of them were actually damn cool!
Coming to the girls, 2 groups of 3 girls, 1 group of 4 girls and 5 girls individually reached out to me. Again, for the groups, 1 girl from both the groups told me that they are a group and would like to join. So, idk how true that is as later both of them ended up ghosting me. Again, it was expected but I did my part of putting together a set of rules and sent it to all the girls.
I am personally not comfortable with just 1 girl atm. The one girl who had come previously was an exception as we were in touch for almost a month till she decided to come over. And even then, we just saw a movie, talked and she slept in a separate room. And since this time, I really wanted to host a houseparty, I wanted a few more people. I limited it to a max of 3 girls as I didn't have more space at my place lol.
Despite me telling most people to let me know if they are interested, as I had to make the necessary arrangements and tell others, they still ended up ghosting me after telling me they really wanted to join. Again, I didn't mind as much and I understand but seriously guys, it'd be great if you just say no. I wanted to arrange the food and drinks and further clean my place a little. Shit takes some work and I don't appreciate you ghosting me after telling me you're very much interested and cant wait to join. I made sure I stuck to the first come first serve scenario, but ghosting made it really hard.
Anyways, since I wasn't getting any concrete replies I decided to just invite a few of my homies over. Then on Sunday noon, one girl reached out to me and said that she would like to join and get her friend along. I actually ignored this as I thought she is just going to ghost me, but still messaged her saying that it's her wish if she wants to join but I've called 3 of my friends over already. After chatting for some time, she said she will come over. I sent her the rules and then address and everything else.
Finally, at 7 pm, the 2 girls actually turned up! (If you're reading this, thanks :P ). We all just spoke about our jobs (yeah, seriously) but later after a few drinks and music, the vibe set in! I ordered some food and we just spoke about life in general. They told me that they had to leave by 11 but I wasn't really comfortable sending them alone at that time so asked them to leave by 9.30 itself. Maybe a dick move, but yeah. I don't care. You either stay over and leave the next morning or leave early.
All in all, it was pretty decent for the first time! Hoping to host another one soon before another lockdown fucks everything up again. Next time, please do reply with your age and gender on the first message itself.
Thanks for reading!
(If anyone thinks I'm being selective and stuff, guys, I already have many guy friends who keep coming over whenever to chill. I just thought it'd be good to have some female energy in the room and nothing else. I've made 2 good guy friends here too and I've partied with them. If I do plan on inviting someone new for some new energy, then I'll surely post it!)
