Traditional societal norms state that the man should be older, more in control and superior to the woman in the relationship.
Well fuck that nonsense. I'm attracted to older women. What about them do I like so much? They're mature, open minded, more experienced and they know what they want. Most importantly though, they understand how to live life better than most people my age. I find most people my age to be quite immature and that honestly makes me feel like I'm dating a child. So the only solution is to date someone more mature and older. That's you btw.
