Aim : To cuddle with someone and satiate lack of intimacy

Apparatus : Two human beings. One bearing XX chromosome. The other bearing XY chromosome. The apparatus needs to be localized within 60 km radius of Mumbai city.

Theory : 14.5 billion years ago, the Big Bang happened. Atoms clubbed to become elements. Elements clubbed to become compounds... long story short, through the theory of abiogenesis, unicellular organisms came into being, and we evolved as Homo Sapiens and Neanderthals. Our hunter gatherer ancestors were Homo Sapiens. One postulation was that Neanderthals became extinct because of habitat degradation and fragmentation. My postulation is that it was ... lack of sense of belongingness due to Neanderthals ignorance to meet/satiate or have their needs satisfied around intimacy and physical affection with one another. Home Sapiens were like chilled cow - spooning/cuddling at times when they weren't hunting or cooking. Neanderthals were too busy competing with Homo Sapiens, and making a mark on this planet, completely ignoring their partners. Or if Neanderthals were on dating page of newspapers published on stone, they were choosing the wrong people to date/marry or hookup with. It's thus necessary to prove that needs like cuddling/spooning, to begin with are as foundational as psychological needs in Maslow's Pyramids of Needs. I'd say, you can live without food for few days (fasting, duhh!), but intimacy/physical void is just plain detrimental to well-being of Neanderthals.

Procedure :

1. Text here. Rant/gossip/talk or share ideas/opinions/perspectives about life

2. Move to another platform and/or call

3. Meet somewhere outside for coffee/lunch

4. Brainstorm to setup cuddle date. Pick a movie. Decide upon snacks

5. Do whatever needs to be done based on discussions in step 1-4

Observation : A rush of feel good chills were experienced during cuddle date. The XX chromosome being was warm/mellow and easy to be with. Movie became a distraction after a while as beings ended up falling asleep. The experiment was performed well within boundary of apparatus' set limits.

Inference : The experiment was hard to implement, but it was worth the result on long run. Flirtatious remarks were conveyed in chat thread later on, even when both beings appeared to be uptight and reserved at the beginning. At least the XY chromosome was satiated by the need to have someone in their arms and/or spend quality time close being other warm body.

Result : The experiment was successfully conducted and it can be concluded that Neanderthals were truly extinct, because, with lack of physical affection/intimacy, they became cold bodied, and eventually drove themselves to extinction - due to short life expectancy arising out of being cuddlingly-frustrated.
