Tl;dr: Looking to go to the Asian Art Musuem for the Kongkee exhibit and check out Crazy Funny Asians tomorrow or next weekend and happy to have company.
This weekend's the first one in a bit where I'm able to relax. I slept in for the first time in months (11 hours rather than the usual 5 or 6) and I spent time in the kitchen. While the takikomi gohan (Japanese mixed rice) I made needed either a bit more dashi or a different mushroom, the chamomile lemonade I made came out pretty well. After my regular Worlde and checking feeds, I checked on the foster cat I took in this week. She's still shy and hiding under the bed after about 48 hours, but that's expected. A local shelter needed emergency foster homes, so I dropped on by. Oh! Turns out a local pho spot is mad cancelled after exploiting immigrants and other abuses, so I'm looking forward to finding the next main spot to get during this cold season.
While checking my calendar and thinking about deadlines, I saw that tomorrow's the 20th and I put down that it's the last weekend for Crazy Funny Asians. Turns out they added more shows, so I guess there's always another weekend, if I opt to stay home. But! I saw that there's this cool-looking exhibit, Kongkee: Warring States Cyberpunk, that I'll probably check out. Seeing as both are in the City, I figured why not do both in a day? And why not try my Reddit luck with finding company?
I'm debating if I want to go on an adventure for dessert tonight, but I'm also thinking about The Ice Cream Bar, and whether I'll grab some if I'm in town tomorrow. Just something else to sweeten the deal.
Jokes aside, I'm a 28/M Southeast Asian legal professional thinking about, "how vain [it must be] to sit down and write when [I] have not stood up to live" and I really want to get inspired. Art and performances are great ways for inspiration, but so is just talking to other people. Chat me?
