I'm a geeky, introspective Chinese-American boy working as a software developer from home for a large corporation. You know, the dream? Totally living it. I'm looking for another nerd who wants to text regularly, is decently detailed in their writings, has common interests, and wants to build a friendship/flirtationship. I don't care too much about looks for this, but if you do, your picture gets mine. As stated in the title, I'm open to it being flirty, but that is absolutely not a requirement. Above all else, you have to be ok with emoji usage; I'm a goddamn millennial and I will die if I'm forced to text without them.

Here's some information about myself:

• I'm 30 years old and have been graduated for 8 years with a computer engineering degree. I got my current job almost 3 years ago.

• I love cooking and trying new recipes!

• I took 4 years of Mandarin Chinese in high school and am also very slowly teaching myself to read and write Japanese.

• I play a lot of games! Board games, video games, tabletop RPGs, if you've heard of it, I've probably played it. I own a PS5, PS4, PS2, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo New 3DS, PC, and Mac. Can you guess where my paychecks have been going? 😅

• I'm currently reading The Black Company by Glen Cook. My favorite book series are the Gentlemen Bastards by Scott Lynch, the Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan, every single book from Brandon Sanderson, the Dune series by Frank Herbert (LOVED the movie, can't wait for part 2), the Greatcoats by Sebastien Castell, and the Riftwar Saga by Raymond E Feist.

I'm ideally looking for someone that also likes to read sci-fi/fantasy, plays a decent amount of video games, or likes to keep up with the tech world. I've found it's difficult to keep up a conversation without having at least one of these things in common. I don't ghost people and I will always get back to your message eventually, but I'm also neurotic and try not to double-text because I don't want to be too much of a bother! I do ask that you don’t ghost as well; if you’re not feeling it, I completely understand, but it would be nice to know 😁
