Hello. I’m a korean american in socal looking to get some life advice and hopefully make some friends along the way.
My life is pretty repetitive; work, hobbies, exercise, explore outside, repeat. I guess to an extent everyone’s life is, but usually I am able to enjoy this repetitiveness with friends. Well it’s been hard for me to meet ppl my age I can vibe with ever since moving to this city for work. I’m eager to gain insight or advice from anyone as I feel like this is pretty common amongst young adults transitioning to a typical corporate lifestyle. Even if you don’t think you can offfer advice on this topic, would love to chat in general because lately I feel like I am spiraling down my own isolated headspace and would like to interact with other people.
I am not the most extroverted type so I find it difficult to just pull up somewhere and strike convos and get along w people, if I am even able to manage to find a place for such activity. For most of my hobbies, it is hard to socialize outside of the hobby activity itself, as these friends are generally much older than me causing a slight generation gap.
One thing I’ve been wanting to try but haven’t figured out how is start or join a band. No idea where to find, meet, or befriend such people.
If none of this life shit interested you, thanks for reading. Some of my interests are tennis, guitar, reading, judo, golf, and music. If any of this sounds intriguing, please reach out. Would love to talk.
