There's some cover of 'I Wish You Love' that has most of the verses in French that I feel more comfortable with for no reason than I'm a tone-deaf idiot and there's something inherently musical about the French language. Like, there's a reason I'll be in the DJ booth on karaoke night rather than on the floor, singing sometimes in Oakland. Sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself, I should have offered a drink, first. Topical: Oh, and no, my work was not impacted by the Crowdstrike incident, but we're expecting to get a lot of work as a result of it on the law-side of things and I'm really excited.

I'm 6'0", Southeast Asian, pan, flexible working day job exec, goldenrod is my favorite color (though, all shades of yellow are fair), am a Leo, very much an ambivert / ANFP, reader, writer, can't-ride-a-biker, can be boundlessly empathetic, and am often told I subvert pretense. WHAT

Am I doing here? Well, I was on a BART train going home early because I come and go from the office as I please, hoping to leave a post up while I go about my evening chores like watering plants, tossing my cat around, trying to make progress on this story, and figuring out what exercises I should implement to add more power to my serve later tonight (in tennis, get out of here with that pickleball), but I took a brief nap and now I'm here, looking for someone working in finance happy with where they are, who is a joy to talk to without any regard for time, who makes me feel understood and who I can make feel understood. I'm looking for my best friend, but I'm also happy with swapping stories through awkwardly vibe checking that neither of us have malintent.

WHERE

I'm in the Bay Area, usually between Oakland and Castro Valley, but work in downtown SF (SOMA / FiDi?), and visit friends all over. I love driving around and being that person that gets all the kids in the van and talks about whatever the life crisis of the week is. If you're a foodie, maybe we can try all those places reels and TikTok say we should try, and have a great time hating on every decision we've made? Then, we could wash it off with a nice dessert from Safeway.

WHY

I love my friends and the people in my life and the life I've built, though I'm at that place where I need connections that aren't legacy. I want to write new stories from nothing, not old experiences. People are adventures the same way getting an event planned can be. And I want adventures that aren't just places, but people. And I heard that adventure is definitely out there! So, shoot me a chat? Convince me that pearls should be in milk tea? Or that mint ice cream isn't just cold toothpaste?
