Hi there! If you're the creative or intellectual type who loves literature or film, I'd love to chat with you! I know this is a bit of a shot in the dark, but I moved to NYC over a year ago and am trying to meet interesting people. I'm currently reading Bora Chung's Cursed Bunny as well as the new translation of Dazai's No Longer Human! My predilections tend to be towards the surreal, dark, and experimental, women authors, and immigrant or queer experiences. I just finished Theresa Hak Kyung Cha's Dictée, and Kobo Abe is one of my favorites. What are you reading! I also have a deep love for film, and I think Wong Kar-Wai's Fallen Angels is one of my favorites. Well, that and anything Studio Ghibli :) I'm a philosophy professor, and I live in Brooklyn with my two kitties. I'm nonbinary (they/them), and I'm open to friends of any gender. Cheers!
