Hey all, happy Thursday! I thought I'd try a different kind of post and just kind of ramble instead trying to write up an ad about myself.

So I thought I'd try something new and post here, since dating apps suck. I always feel weird about sending that first message. I always get in my head thinking about what ifs they're not interested. Plus, I don't want to send my likes on someone who is drop dead gorgeous and way out of my league, but doesn't have the same interests as me.

I'm currently on a trip to Taiwan for two weeks, but I'll be back in NJ/NYC in a week!

Anyways, I've recently gotten into fitness to get in better shape, as we all do in the new year. But, I've been trying to take my love for cooking and make healthier food to supplement that!

Between working out and cooking, my time for myself has dwindled. And though I have less time for my hobbies, but I can always still find a way to carve a few hours to rock climb, play video games, binge TV, or read something (books, manga, etc.). I will forever be a nerd 🫡. I've even started thinking about making my own video game, but we'll see how long that lasts.

To be honest, I don't get out all that much, so it's hard to meet new people. That's probably totally my fault since I'm definitely a homebody who needs friends to drag me out of the comfort of my room. With most of my friends being at least an hour away, I end up staying in most weekends, besides for an afternoon walk, climbing session, or grocery shopping. But I don't really feel comfortable chatting with people then, and if I do it's usually just surface level stuff. I'm still pretty comfortable about it, but it's nice to have someone to chat to about random things that you don't want to bug a friend about

Anyways, that's a little bit about me. If I've piqued any interest, feel free to send me a message! I'm mainly looking for someone in the area, but let's just chat and see what happens! Hopefully our conversations won't dry out and we'll hit it off, but as we all know, a certain type of people (awkward and bad at holding conversations - like me hehe) always end up gravitating to these subreddits. And we aren't known to be the best at dating. But who knows, maybe we'll be one of those success stories ☺️. Also help me with my flirting skills, those are definitely non-existent haha.

Oh, totally forgot to mention, I'm 5'8", Chinese American, average weight ~170lbs. And definitely still have a normal hair line that doesn't look like a Nintendo 64 controller (rip🫡).
