Hi, I am currently 28, no siblings, strong and healthy and am from a country called Sri Lanka (I am mentioning the country in advanc, where I tend to be a person who is respectful, calm and composed and has tried out many outdoor and indoor hobbies such as: cooking and making Pizza, reading books, playing the harmonica and even the piano, mountain climbing, basketball, photography, badminton, tennis, hiking active volcanoes, running, watching movies, riding an ATV, exercising, observing nature through a binoculars, cycling, playing video games, Jetski, listening to music, horse riding, paddle-boats on the lake and recently I developed an interest in Linux systems and analogue navigation. I would love to try out Film photography using my Nikon FM-2, however, film in this country is rare to find and ridiculously expensive.
Life: I am just looking for someone to have a peaceful life with, nothing else really. I am not sure what kind of person I want to get married to… So, let us chat and get to know each other better and see how things go.
View on brands and technology: I am qualified in Computer Science and Business. However, I am not a brand conscious person or obsessed over the latest technology. I use technology, both digital and analogue to solve personal problems not because it is made by a high end brand. Regarding clothing and in-fact anything, I focus on quality, look and feel rather than brand name.
Regarding children: I do not want to have children in the future. I know many will say that a “child is a gift from God”, however, I believe that every child deserves a father and mother who genuinely wanted to have him/her in the first place and did not conceive a child simply because of what a religious book says or society wants them to do it. I have seen many children suffer in poverty and some being called a nuisance or a curse by their parents, as if the child had a choice in being born to that family. The same goes for pets who are abandoned by their owners the moment they are no longer cute or become a liability. I know that since, I don’t have the desire to have a child, doing so would be morally and ethically wrong. Don’t have a child because it will give you status, government support, family pressure or because your religion tells you to, only do so if deep down you have the desire and dream about creating a raising a human being from age zero to adulthood, think of both positive and negative sides of life you will encounter, then choose wisely, because your decision does not affect one or two lives but generations to come.
