Hey folks, as stated in title, on the look for some friends (brownie points for Asian/Asian-American, but open to all!) that I might get along with.

I was born and raised in a larger city where the Asian population was quite dense and it felt nice to fit in. Since moving to Oklahoma over 10 years ago, it's been harder to find folks to fitin with around my age range and share interests with, so I figured I might look here (on Reddit, of all places :P).

I'm mainly looking to meet a new friend with some similar interests. Whether it be someone to game with or just enjoy chilling on voice, doing our own thing while sharing stupid memes is fine either way. Or heck, sometimes it's nice to just be comfortable in the silence. Expectation-free flirty banter or nsfw chatter can be fun too once we warm up to each other, but is never required or expected!

So what about me?

• Game-wise, I play on PC with the occasional title on PS5 (anyone looking forward to FFXVI?) and Switch
• Most of my time is spent on FFXIV but right now I'm playing through the new league in Path of Exile. I honestly just play anything that's fun. Monster Hunter, Genshin, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, Diablo, etc.
• I love anime, though I tend to not always keep up with the latest seasons
• My music tastes are very otaku-based, mostly around J-pop and J-rock, anime/idol music, etc.
• I usually stay up late, up to around 2AM CST, sometimes later if the sleep procrastination kicks in.
• I'm a WFH software engineer, so chatting during the day to pass the time would be great too
• I quite prefer to stay at home most nights. I love coffee and tea though, so brunch followed by a latte or boba is always a great way to spend a weekend morning
• I enjoy messing around on the piano and guitar, though mostly at a barely-novice self taught level
• Physically, very average, a bit on the heavier side. 5' 11", 230lbs.
• Politically, if we'd like to go there, I am very left leaning, in a 1312 and "health care is a human right" kind of way
