Let's be honest here. The internet, Reddit included, does not scream like the best place to find a quality relationship. It often feels like a place for the detritus of society. But hey, I'm here, so it can't be all that bad. Right? Right??I know these things are long shots, especially with the ratio of thirsty men to skeptical women. But a chance not taken is an opportunity missed.
Cutting to the chase for a hot second: I'm a married man looking for a single/attached/likely married woman.
What I'm looking for in a person: Someone with a pulse and all their teeth. Kidding. In a person, someone fun, friendly with a sense of humor and a joy for life. Mutual attraction is important and I'm generally attracted to women who are active and stay in shape. But I'm at an age where staying in shape means something different than it did 20 years ago so my expectations are definitely age-adjusted. I'm open to women my age and younger though likely most compatible in the "divide by 2, plus 7" dating-math (more math!).
What I have to offer: I'm 5'11", fit/muscular/could lose 10 lbs. I'm an active guy who enjoys outdoor activities (hiking, trail running, swimming, biking, tennis, etc.) and I'm a regular at the gym. Some social proof to allay some of your fears: well-educated, successful professional, never arrested (lol), clean, STD free/DDF. In some ways I'm your basic Asian American (enjoy good food, traveling around the world, living a good life) with a side that has a taste for illicit adventure. I'm also a basic Bay Area guy (enjoy Tahoe, snowboarding, live music) who's originally from LA. I think I have a decent sense of style but they are not putting me on the cover of GQ anytime soon. I love to laugh, be silly and witty when the mood strikes.
What I'm looking to do: I'd appreciate starting with someone who can hold a conversation. I'd like to get to know each other and meet up for coffee/drinks/hike with no expectations. Someone who likes to smile and perhaps flirt. I'm not looking to head straight to the sack. I'm not looking to change anyone's situation and respect people's discretion. I'm not looking to be someone's therapist for someone who wants to unload on what's wrong with their SO. Even I just came out of this with someone who ended up being a tennis friend, I'd consider it a success.
