The last year or so,I wake up everyday wondering how I got here in my life and the continued challenges that has been present for a while.
Disclaimer: (edit: I prefer to chat with other Asians right now, sorry!) Looking for friends/support to chat with, complain and commiserate about life lol. Talking to strangers seem easier than people in real life sometimes. I've met some really supportive people here. Don't need you to solve my problems. And if you do reach out, please remember there is a real person on the other end.
Been feeling down and more isolated than usual, and I'm pretty isolated. In my last post, I wrote about facing severe illness that really brought things to perspective that the toxicity in my workplace is causing me to be so sick. People at work still acted shittily despite how sick I was last week. Is there any compassion left in the workplace? I feel lonely, my days feel long without being able to talk to anyone in person, and any interaction I have via MS Teams are fairly toxic. I can't seem to land a job where I can feel safe, able to be productive and just focus on work.
I don't have it that bad. I know i shouldn't complain. I need to grow that thick skin or whatever. From the outside I also seem fine. Ive spent the last year working on developing my hobbies to bring more purpose and work on something bigger than myself. Really enjoying going back to illustration, but my job saps all my energy. Also who would have thought that drawing is a very physical activity. If you have a desk job and sit down for 8-10 hours a day. Then drawing daily is like another 2-8 hours on top. Then started having back and neck issues, lol. I'll keep working on it, I just want to have accomplishment other than work.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading.
