I don't know if something is different when you're younger, anxiety / fear / sadness or what, but grab your partner and hold on to them like you'd never let go. I only realize this in hindsight.
Sometimes my exes visit me in my dreams and I get that same feeling and it's so real and so amazing. And then I wake up and I feel an emptiness I don't normally feel. Feel gutted. I am happy with my current partner but cuddling and hugging like that is just not something we do. Not sure if that's because we're "adults"
